School dance (Wrote LONG time ago, edited a LOT.)

School Dance
It was my first day at school. I got out of the doughnut shop and began to walk home. I thought about what had happened today . . .

It was 8:30 a.m., I had walked a little faster than planned. I was left standing outside the school gate. I looked behind me as a H2 came into view. A group of kids were dropped off, my heart skipped a beat. One of the kids looked my age, short light brown hair, brown eyes, cute nose, I turned away quickly. The two oldest walked over near me to wait to get inside, the younger ones were planning rock paper scissors, they seemed to be having fun, giggling. I smiled some, and looked at the ground. I heard a cough, then heard a silence, now this silence wasn’t any silence, but the silence of people staring at me, but not knowing what to say. Well, what can I say, I’m a 4’ 10 ½” tall, wearing black skinny jeans, with a black shirt with Gir on it, saying “Deal with it.” My hair is naturally very dark, and looks almost black, my eyes are grey, but they couldn’t see do to me beanie hat that had the words Grumpy on its side. I looked up, “Um, hi. I’m Liam.” They stared a second longer then responded at once. It sounded like this, “Antygeller.” “Um . . .” They stopped, “Tyler,” the boy I saw get out first said. He was a little taller than me. “Angel,” the other said, he had died yellow/orange hair, semi tan skin, with brown eyes. He was taller than Tyler and me. The janitor opened the school gates and let us all in, I went to my class, only to find out I had Tyler in my class as well.
We were assigned seats, so I ended up in the back. Tyler was in the middle area. I looked around, I needed to find a group to be in, and I was lonely already. After third period it was lunch, I scanned the tables. Only two areas stood out to me, where Angel and Tyler were, and where a girl I sit next to in science was. I sat next to the girl, Chantel if I remember right. Her whole group went silent, and stared at me. I just pulled out my lunch and began eating, the others dismissed me and began talking and eating again. No one acknowledged me till a tall boy asked me my name. “Liam,” I responded in a tired tone. “So, why’d you come here?” He continued to ask me questions throughout the rest of lunch.
Finally, it was break; I escaped from the taller boy to find a quiet spot to write in. I saw a tree near the end of the field, and walked over to it, sat, and began to scribble. I had already finished a whole page when I began hearing footsteps coming towards me. I glanced up to see a group of boys in front of me, Angel included. “Hm . . .?” “You’re in our spot, Shorty,” one stated in a cold tone. “So?” I ignored the petty insult. “Get out of it,” Angel said.
“I’d rather not, it’s a quite nice place write in.” I just stared at him blankly, unemotional. “Get out or else,” now his tone was strict, harsh, and dangerous. I scoffed, “Or else what?” Angel threw a punch to my face, I leaned to the right, rolling over with a push of my legs, and got on my feet. I stood motionless. Angel threw another unbalanced punch at me, this time, I caught it, and to his surprise in the same motion, using his body weight against him, I flipped him over. His buddies watched in awe of what just happened. “Shorty huh?” One laughed at the boy who insulted me. Angel was up now, holding his shoulder, when here comes Tyler, running up. He burst out laughing as he saw Angel, “I-“ he laughed, “I saw what happened as I was walking over here!” He began to laugh some more. I smirked, and walked away, I could feel Angel’s glare in the back of my head, but he didn’t move.
I was walking back to find my next class when I saw Chantel and the tall boy with the others from lunch. I thought for a moment on what to say to them, after all, I wanted to hang out with them, at least till I found other friends, and they were nice to me, so I planned a great speech of how since I hardly knew it here and had no friends they could be my heroes and save me in my distress.  I walked up to them, “U-um . . . hey, I- I was wondering, c-could I- um . . . Could I hang out with you guys for a while . . .” I trailed off. There goes my speech I thought.
